If you happen to see him on the street, say hello: Nyoman Laksono Bayu Aji.
He needs no introduction. If you’ve been following us for a while, chances are you’ve seen @nyomanaji’s face more than anyone else’s. He’s probably the most photographed rider ever to appear on this page.
Our story with Aji goes back well over a decade.

Then fixed gear happened.
The thrill didn’t disappear, it simply found a different outlet. Parties became alleycats, late nights turned into fun rides, and skids replaced dance floors. Well, except when the party happened at a velodrome.
By the time Indonesia’s fixed-gear scene was still finding its identity, Aji was already a veteran of the 2015 CMWC Melbourne, before continuing his journey as a professional bicycle messenger. Today, he’s hung up his messenger bag, embracing life as a blue collar cyclist, and enjoying his role as a husband.

Some people ride because they love bicycles. Aji became the person he is because bicycles became part of his life. Not as an escape, as a direction.
Needless to say, he’ll probably remain the most photographed rider on our page for years to come.
