About.

Three chapters: where we came from, what we believe, and where we're going.

Chapter 01

Origin.

Pias started in the 2010 global fixed gear wave — most of us inspired by MASH SF and Macaframa, the same films that had riders everywhere looking twice at a bike with one gear and no brakes. It began with Andira (Sumvelo), Ippe (Cyclonesia), the riders of Fixed Gear Fever Indonesia, and too many rider-friends to name — ground zero was Taman Menteng, Jakarta, the park where the scene actually happened, night after night.

Back then, fixed gear and single speed frames were nearly impossible to get in Indonesia. Parts too — this was Sumvelo parts territory, before anyone called it that. All we could do was convert road frame dropouts by hand, or import frames from wherever we could find them. Pias Agra was our answer: a frame designed in Jakarta, and built in Taiwan.

Who runs Pias today

Andira Pramanta

A track bike enthusiast, although he'd strongly object to being called an early adopter. His story started at Taman Menteng back in 2010, before PIAS was even an idea. Andira is the one who initiated everything. The heart and soul of the movement, long before it became a brand.

Rangga Panji

Consider yourself lucky if you know him as Paman. Luckier still if your bike has been set up by him. And if it has ever been featured by Pancalen Cycles, well, that's a privilege. Rangga is the one who makes our steel sings.

Themma Suwandana

The arms and legs of PIAS Cycles. From upstream to downstream and everything in between, Mamang keeps the wheels turning. If Andira started the story and Rangga gives it shape, he makes sure the story keeps moving.

Chapter 02

Philosophy.

In Steel We Trust. A byproduct of seasoned riders — design-forward, market-listening, identity-uncompromising. Three things we don't move on:

01
Built like it matters
Rider to rider, detail by detail. Every frame design and production carries the same care as the first one we ever built.
02
Steel is real
We mix and match tubing grades as each build calls for it, but it's steel, always — durable, and more affordable at every market level than the alternatives.
03
Limited runs, never done twice
No lineup exceeds 150 sets. Colorways are seasonal — we'd rather sell out than discount. Each run marks an era.
Chapter 03

What's Next.

2019 was the last time we released a frame. Then COVID happened, and like everyone else, we had to step back. It took a while to realize the only way through was forward.

So we're marching again — starting with Agra 3.0, the return we've been building toward for over a decade, and more to come after that.

Thank you for being there all this time.
